Indoor Carriage Driving Trials

Indoor Carriage Driving Trials

This is a sport that really has it all!! Indoor Carriage Driving combines the grace and harmony of dressage, the speed and accuracy through the cones with the thrills and excitement of the obstacles.  Based on horse driving trials, these indoor competitions are run across the country from October to April with competitors aiming to gain the qualifications necessary to compete at the Indoor Carriage Driving Championships, held at the end of each season at Keysoe Equestrian Centre, Bedfordshire.  There are classes to cater for every level of driver, from novice to open, and with separate horse and pony classes on offer, this is a sport that has no height limitations – in fact it is often the smaller ponies who excel in this discipline!!

Rachel Moast and her team of volunteers will give a short display of each phase, showcasing the sport with a selection of the south west’s equine superstars!
